Welcome to my solo general practice on Floraliënlaan in Ghent, opposite Citadel Park and within walking distance of Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station.
As a solo GP, you see the same doctor at every appointment. I know your medical file, your history and your personal context, which allows me to provide continuous and personalised care.
During holidays or periods of absence, continuity of care is provided by an experienced colleague nearby.
How I work
A particular strength of the practice is that ultrasound examinations and urgent blood tests can be performed during the consultation itself. This often allows faster clarification in case of acute symptoms, without unnecessary waiting time or immediate referral.
Ultrasound can be useful in various situations, including abdominal pain, muscle and tendon injuries, vascular complaints, pneumonia, sinus problems, gynaecological complaints, and questions during early or later pregnancy.
If an infection or acute medical problem is suspected, a blood analysis can be carried out immediately during the appointment.
Joint injections are always performed under ultrasound guidance. This allows the injection to be administered very accurately at the right location.

Fees
You only pay the patient co-payment at the practice: €15 for a consultation and €10 for students.
The part reimbursed by the Belgian health insurance fund is paid directly to me.
Ultrasound examinations and urgent blood tests performed during the consultation are carried out without any additional supplement.
Payment can be made in cash, via Payconiq or by bank transfer at the practice.
I am accredited by the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance, which means that I meet the quality criteria regarding continuing medical education, out-of-hours duty and transparent practice management.
I am not conventioned, which means that I have not signed the official fee agreement between doctors and health insurance funds. For you, payment remains transparent: you only pay the co-payment mentioned above.

About me
I was born and raised in Ghent and studied medicine at Ghent University.
My practice has always been located near Citadel Park. For the past four years, I have been based on Floraliënlaan.
For more than twenty years, I have had a special interest in ultrasound. I continue to develop this expertise through national and international conferences and training courses.
To share this added value with fellow general practitioners, I founded the non-profit organisation YES I SCAN!,https://yesiscan.org/nl which organises hands-on ultrasound training.
